Aluminum sulfate (chemical formula: Al₂(SO₄)₃, the common crystalline hydrate is Octadeca-hydrate aluminum sulfate Al₂(SO₄)₃·18H₂O) is a stable and widely used inorganic aluminum salt chemical product. It appears as white flaky, granular or powdery solid, easily soluble in water with weakly acidic aqueous solution. It has excellent flocculation, precipitation, sizing, mordanting and anti-corrosion properties, and is an indispensable basic chemical raw material for water treatment, papermaking, printing and dyeing, leather and other industries.

3、 Textile and Dyeing Industry

Used as mordant, color fixing agent and anti-staining agent in the dyeing and printing process, it can help dyes adhere firmly to fabric fibers, improve the uniformity and color fastness of fabric dyeing, prevent staining and color bleeding during printing, and improve fabric hand feel and color at the same time.

4、 Leather Tanning and Processing

As a leather tanning agent, aluminum sulfate can have a cross-linking reaction with leather fibers, increase leather flexibility, durability and wear resistance, reduce leather shrinkage and cracking, and improve the texture and service life of leather products. It is widely applicable to the tanning processing of light leather and heavy leather.
